The Work of IOCC in Syria
January 26, 2012 Length: 29:20
Syria is in the news a lot these days but what kind of work is being done by the Church in light of the current circumstances. You may be surprised. Listen as we talk with Samer Laham, the Director of the Department of Ecumenical Relations and Development for the Patriarchate of Antioch in Damascus. Samer also coordinates the humanitarian work of IOCC in the country. In the meantime we grieve the loss of Fr. Basilious Nasser who was shot by terrorists in the city of Hama on January 25. May his memory be eternal.
"Thank you for helping me, helping all of us who listen and are hungrier than we might realize before beginning the feast set out for us. Ancient Faith helps me in two ways: I learn the faith in listening and reading, and I am encouraged to know others are speaking, writing, and clearly teaching the deep truths of the Faith. Blessings to you who write, speak, and sing on Ancient Faith Radio! I keep you on through the night and have been comforted by the Love that is and ever shall be, no matter time or season."
