The Coming of the Lord - St. Leo the Great
December 21, 2009 Length: 12:39
Fr. Matthew examines a sermon by St. Leo of Rome, normally read in the season of Pascha, yet which sheds great light on the coming of the Lord, and the pastoral message to be gleaned from the intense theological disputes about Christ's natures that raged in the early Church.
"Would like to thank you for the varied programmes you do. I am an Anglican based in Leicester in the UK and came across your station last year on the internet. I listen most days to your music podcast whilst preparing lessons for my students early in the morning, and I listen to your teaching podcasts via my mp3 player at other times. One or two of my students have even commented on the calming presence of the worship. The content is excellent, and the programmes are ministering to my spiritual needs. My appreciation for the Orthodox faith has deepened, and I am particularly enjoying the new series by Abbott Tryphon whose wisdom is down to earth and yet very practical. May God continue to bless your ministry. "
