At that time, Jesus went away to the district of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and cried, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely possessed by a demon.” But Jesus did not answer her a word.
And his disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away, for she is crying after us.” Jesus answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
But she came and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, help me.” And he answered, “It is not fair to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” She said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs…

And when they saw it they all murmured, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who…

One day, our Lord Jesus Christ was walking through the city of Jericho. Many people were with Him. A man named Zacchaeus was there too. Zacchaeus was a tax collector. In those days, tax collectors often got rich from taking extra taxes from people and keeping the extra money for themselves. Zacchaeus was a rich man. Zacchaeus also was not very tall. When the crowd was passing by, he wanted to see who Jesus was. But because Zacchaeus was short, he could not see over the crowd.
There was a sycamore tree growing nearby. Sycamore trees can grow to be very high. Zacchaeus saw the tall tree and climbed it. Now he could see who Jesus was!
