One day, our Lord Jesus Christ was talking to His disciples. He said, “Whoever listens to you, listens to Me, too. Whoever does not want to be with you does not want to be with Me, either. And, if they do not want to be with Me, they do not want to be with God, who sent Me, either!”
Then, seventy of His followers, who Jesus had sent out to help others, came back to Him. They were happy! They told Jesus that even the demons obeyed them in His name.
Jesus said, “I was there when Satan fell like lightning, out of heaven. I have made you able to do amazing things to show my power over Satan. But, don’t be happy about what…

At that time, Jesus arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee. And as he stepped out on land, there met him a man from the city who had demons; for a long time he had worn no clothes, and he lived not in a house but among the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, and said with a loud voice, “What have I to do with you, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? Jesus told the demons to leave the man. He told them to go into a nearby herd of pigs. The demons came out of the man and went into the pigs. The whole herd went rushing down the steep bank into…

The Lord said, “There was a rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. And at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus, full of sores, who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man’s table; moreover, the dogs came and licked his sores. The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried; and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus in his bosom.
And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy upon me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for…
