One time, our Lord Jesus Christ told a story to teach a lesson.
He told about a man with two sons. One day, the younger son asked his father for a lot of money. He took the money and left his home. He traveled far away and wasted all the money his father gave him.
Soon after that, there was not enough food in the land. So, the younger son got a job feeding pigs. He was so hungry that he wanted to eat the pigs’ food. He worked hard, but was still hungry.
As he worked, he remembered that the servants at his father’s house worked hard but had plenty of food. He thought to himself, “I will go and say I am sorry to my father…

HOUSTON—Happy holidays — now where’s that immigration paperwork?
Several programs providing Christmas gifts for needy children are checking immigration status first, requiring at least one member of the household to be a U.S. citizen before handing over toys. Ain’t I Great?
Episode date: December 15, 2009
Gary runs a Christian homeless and drug and alchohol rehabilitation program. I found him five weeks ago sitting in his van in excruciating pain and took him to the emergency room. After weeks of tests, it turns out he has a bone cancer. He is in a nursing home and the prognosis is still up in the air.
Gary has led quite a colorful life but has spent the last 13 of his 64 years in Christian interfaith ministry. A lot of his dreams and goals are almost coming true. His interfaith “homeless and shut in Christmas dinner” that our parish helps with will feed over 5000 this weekend if all goes as planned. His shelter and…

In previous broadcasts I have commented on current news issues that impact on our understanding of the world in the way Christ counseled us. In the spirit of healing our ourselves, our families, society and the Church. Yes even healing Society or the Church, the Body of Christ, have to be dealt with. The topics such as what to tell children when a popular role model falls short, was one AFR broadcast dealing with healing children’s understanding of brokenness. This AFR broadcast is in the “Smart Parenting” series entitled: “Fallen Star.”…
