One day our Lord Jesus Christ was talking to His disciples. He said, “Anyone who is not embarrassed about Me around other people, I will remember before my Father in Heaven. Whoever acts like they don’t know Me, I will not remember before My Father.
“If someone loves their parents or children more than Me, they are not worthy of Me. Taking up the Cross is hard to do, but it is the right thing to do. Whoever does not do the right thing because it is hard is not worthy of me, either.”
Peter spoke up then, “Lord, we left behind everything so that we could follow You. What will happen to us?”
Jesus told them, “In…

At that time, as Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Immediately they left their nets and followed him. And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them.

At that time, when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that I, the Son of man, am?”

And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elias, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

Jesus said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my…

One day, our Lord Jesus Christ came to a place called Caesarea Philippi. When He got there, He asked His disciples, “Who do men say that I am?”
The disciples answered, “Well, some think you are John the Baptist. Other people say that you are Elias. Others think you’re Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
Then Jesus asked them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God!”
Jesus told Peter, “You are blessed, Peter. My Father in Heaven showed you this. You are like a rock, and on you I will build my Church. The Church will be strong, and not even…
