The Lord said to his disciples, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. One day, our Lord Jesus Christ was teaching His disciples. He told them, “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot hide. Also, if you turn on a light in a room, you don’t cover it with a box—instead, you put it up where it can light up everything!

One day, our Lord Jesus Christ got into a boat and went to His own city. What He got there, some people brought a paralyzed man to Him. The man could not walk, so they brought him to Jesus on a mat.
Jesus saw that they believed that He could heal their friend. He looked at the man and said, “Your sins are forgiven!”
Some of the important people from the synagogue were upset. They thought to themselves, “This man is acting like He is God. That is not good to do!”
But Jesus knew what they were thinking, so He asked them a question, “Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or ‘Get up and walk?’”

At that time, when Jesus was passing by, two blind men followed him, crying aloud and saying, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.” When He entered the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then Jesus touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.” And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly charged them, “See that no one knows it.” But they went away and spread his fame through all that district.
As they were going away, behold, a dumb demoniac was brought to Jesus. And when the demon had been cast…
