Modern people like simple rules and guides — let’s face it, you can’t call a series of books, “..for Dummies,” and have it be too complicated! Have you ever wondered if anyone said in just a few words how we can please God?

St. Athanasius the Great tells us that St. Antony the Great did just that:

Someone asked Abba Anthony, ‘What must one do in order to please God?’ The old man replied, ‘Pay attention to what I tell you: Whoever you may be, always have God before your eyes. Whatever you do, do it according to the testimony of the Holy Scriptures. In whatever place you live, do not easily leave it. Keep these three precepts and you will be saved.’

"I just wanted to thank you all at Ancient Faith Radio for your impressively professional and prayerfully evangelical output. I'm a Dominican friar (in simple vows) from Ireland, and I have few cultural connections with Eastern Orthodoxy, but I greatly appreciate the new insights into the Gospel that your podcasts provide me with. Bail ó Dhia ar an obair (God bless the work)!"
