Baptism Begins a Clean Life

St. Cyril of Jerusalem on living a pure life after baptism.
I love attending baptisms, and particularly those where an adult is rejoicing in being baptized into Christ. It’s good to remember that this isn’t just a “one-and-done” event: it’s the start of a clean life. St. Cyril of Jerusalem tells us,
The past wounds therefore of soul and body God heals by Baptism; against future ones let us one and all jointly guard ourselves, that we may keep this vestment of the body pure, and may not for practicing fornication and sensual indulgence or any other sin for a short season, lose the salvation of heaven, but may inherit the eternal kingdom of God; of which may God, of His own grace, deem all of you worthy.
"I'm a big fan of AFR. I love so many of the podcasts and series. I've recently discovered your new video podcasts "Be the Bee" and Sr. Vassa and wanted to say how much I enjoy both of these new additions. Thank you and keep up the great work!"
