Lord, Give Me Strength!

Elder Antony of Optina on enduring trials for Christ's sake.
I knew a person who, when she was particularly irritated, would say, “Lord, give me strength!” — she meant the strength to avoid losing her temper. Elder Antony of Optina says that this is a good prayer:
No matter what misfortune might befall you, no matter what unpleasantness might occur, say ‘I will endure this for Jesus Christ’s sake!’ Just say that, and you will feel better, for the Name of Jesus Christ is powerful. Before It, all difficulties abate, and demons disappear. Your annoyance and faintness of heart will abate when you repeat His most sweet Name.
"I came to know of your radio station because I am looking into the Orthodox faith. I live on an Army proving ground (Dugway) in Utah in a remote area and am a former Episcopalian. Listening to Ancient Faith Radio every day keeps a smile in my heart and gives me the strength to carry on."
