Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry Convocation - 2011

Removing the Grave Clothes - Part 1

June 28, 2011 Length: 34:34

When a person is released from prison there are many challenges he
or she will face; finding work and housing, re-establishing family
relationships, staying in recovery from addictions and finding a new way
of life. Moreover, many people in jail and prison feel stuck, lonely,
resentful, angry, frustrated and hopeless. This session will introduce
the St. Lazarus Project Team Mentoring Model for returning sons and
daughters to successfully reintegrate. Speakers: OCPM National –
Chaplain Patrick Tutella. OCPM Pennsylvania – Fr. Demetrius
Nicoloudakis, Barbe Fogarty.

"I have been studying church history and started reading Orthodox books after my daughter wrote her Master’s Degree thesis on icons. We have both been leaning toward the Orthodox Church in recent months, however, I find it too nationalistic and it is difficult to break through the language and ethnic barriers. Ancient Faith Radio on the other hand, does not have those fences, which makes it easier for me to pray and meditate with. Thank you for opening doors that have been shut to me."
