Orthodox Women in the Healing Ministries was founded in 1992 with the mission of providing support to Orthodox Christian women who work in the medical and healing professions. This includes doctors, nurses, therapists, social workers and the like. These are lectures from their annual retreat held at Dormition Monastery in Rives Junction, MI.
The 2011 retreat featured Dr. Al Rossi who teaches courses in pastoral theology at Saint Vladimir’s Seminary. He has written numerous articles on psychology and religion and published a book through Paulist Press entitled, Can I Make a Difference: Christian Family Life Today. After teaching at Pace University for 24 years, he retired as Associate Professor of Psychology. He is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of New York.
