From April 29th through May 1st, 2011, the Right Reverend Archimandrite Matthias was consecrated as Bishop of Chicago and the Diocese of the Midwest of the Orthodox Church in America. The consecration took place at both Christ the Savior Orthodox Church and Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral in Chicago, IL, and the Presiding Hierarch was the Most Blessed JONAH, Archbishop of Washington, Metropolitan of All America and Canada.
