One day, John was with his disciples. Our Lord Jesus Christ walked by. John said, “Look, there goes the Lamb of God.” When they heard this, two of John’s disciples left him to follow Jesus instead.

When Jesus saw them following Him, He asked what they were looking for. They answered, “Teacher, where are you staying?” He said, “Come and see.” And they went and stayed with Him that day.

Andrew, one of the two disciples of John, went to find his brother Simon. Andrew told Simon that they had found the Messiah. Simon went with him to meet Jesus. When Jesus saw Simon, He said, “Simon, now you will be called ‘Peter.’”

The next day, Jesus went to Galilee. He found Philip and said, “Follow me.” Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We found the One whom Moses and the prophets wrote about. His name is Jesus of Nazareth.” Nathanael didn’t think anything good could come from Nazareth. Philip told him, “Come and see!”

When Jesus saw Nathanael coming, He said, “Here comes a good Israelite. He does what is right.” Nathanael asked, “How do you know me? I just met You.” Jesus said, “I saw you under the fig tree before Philip called you.”

Nathanael was amazed that Jesus could know so much about him already. He said, “Teacher, You are God’s Son! You are the King of Israel.”

Jesus said, “Do you believe in Me just because I tell you I saw you under the fig tree? You will see much more amazing things than that. You will actually see Heaven opened, and God’s angels with Me!”
