No Wedding Vows
October 05, 2013 Length: 11:39
Fr. Stephen notes that in an Orthodox wedding, there are no wedding vows. This stands in stark contrast to the central place vows hold in Western tradition. He suggests that the West has come to think of marriage as a "contract" between two people while the Orthodox Church thinks of it as a "union." The difference is important.
"Let me thank you from my heart for the blessing that Ancient Faith Radio is to my husband and me. Your station has been an important part of our formation and has kept us going at times when work, schedules, and a growing family kept us from the level of church involvement that we used to have."
