The Hallowed Green Hollow [The Raven and the Dove - Ep. 3]
After taking a day in Edinburgh, the pilgrims of The Raven and the Dove come to Glasgow, “the green hollow,” looking for the saints who first made it holy: Serf the wonderworker, Theneva the exiled princess, and her son Kentigern, whom Glasgow calls Mungo, “the dear one.” Guided by Fiona Mackinnon, a Glaswegian who has spent years gathering the city’s scattered memory, they find Mungo’s shrine, the remains of the holy wells, and a small Orthodox chapel where the old Celtic saints welcome them home. Here, they will also shine a light on the ministry of the Archangel Gabriel community as Bp. Augustine walks in the steps of St. Kessog.
“The Raven and the Dove” is a pilgrimage tale spanning Scotland and Northumbria, told by four friends who went in search of the holy people and places on the northern border between the Celtic and the English.
