After taking a day in Edinburgh, the pilgrims of The Raven and the Dove come to Glasgow, “the green hollow,” looking for the saints who first made it holy: Serf the wonderworker, Theneva the exiled princess, and her son Kentigern, whom Glasgow calls Mungo, “the dear one.” Guided by Fiona Mackinnon, a Glaswegian who has spent years gathering the city’s scattered memory, they find Mungo’s shrine, the remains of the holy wells, and a small Orthodox chapel where the old Celtic saints welcome them home.
